What has been going on in our lives - Part 3

Spencer had a couple of accidents.  WARNING: pictures at the end are kind of yucky, I'm telling you now so you are aware.

We also shot rockets for Andrew's science fair project (and lost one)

Karissa made her first pysanky

We went to Santa Fe with Grandma & Grandpa Wankier where the kids made funny faces

We went to Petroglyph National Monument with Grandma & Grandpa

We celebrated Easter with new dresses.

Here's the yucky part about Spencer . . .

He stood backwards on one of our patio chairs while everyone was sitting to the table for dinner and it fell back smashing his finger between the chair and the cement.  It wasn't broken (found that out after 6 hours at the ER), and the finger nail came out, which is about twice as long as what you actually see.  After about 3 months it all healed back together and all is fine, including a nail that looks as if nothing ever happened.

About 2 weeks later the ironing board broke earlier in the week and Spencer used the good iron (that shut off automatically) to iron the cement when I got really sick.   Later in the week I was sewing a skirt for Alexis for her birthday and was ironing with an old iron that didn't turn off automatically, ironing on the broken ironing board on the floor while Spencer was sleeping.  However, after he woke up I forgot the iron was there and he grabbed it.  He is also all healed from this so you would never know what happened.  Ironically, both accidents happened while we were right there.

And to end on a happy note, Spencer spent a lot of time loving on his "dog" and sucking his thumb, his favorite pastime.
